Chemical Resistance
POREX Porous Plastics are made from a number of commercially available thermoplastics. They are resistant to a broad spectrum of corrosive chemicals and reagents. Resistance information for the base polymers (PE, PP, PTFE and PVDF) of porous plastics is included here as a reference.

The values in the chart are not the absolute values for the chemical resistance of porous plastics. Data was supplied to Porex by its raw material suppliers as a guide to chemical resistance for solid plastics. Due to a larger surface area and lower density, chemical resistance with porous plastics may vary in comparison to solid plastics. It is difficult to duplicate actual service conditions in the laboratory. Similar in-use applications may vary significantly from each other. Therefore, use the chart onlly to indicate the possible in-service behavior of porous plastics. The customer should perform appropriate tests to determine the performance of POREX Porous Plastics under each specific operating condition
It is important to note...
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the products are sold without a chemical resistance warranty. The buyers and users will assume all responsibility and liability for loss or damage arising from the handling and use of our products, whether used alone or in combination with other products.
