Machining

POREX Porous Plastics can be sawed, turned, milled, drilled and punched utilizing conventional machining tools. Care must be taken to keep the surface below the softening point temperature if a porosity is to be maintained.

As a very general starting point, the machinist should begin at slow speeds (the use of carbide tools is recommended) and increase the speed until desired effect is realized.
