During the production development phase, your prototype design will be scaled up to your required production levels. This may include scaling up existing tooling and/or manufacturing processes to accommodate production quantities. In some cases, it may also require the development of one or more production tools. Porex's development team of engineers and material scientists will continue to work with you throughout production development to ensure that all of your design goals are met. You will receive sample preproduction parts during the production development phase for review and approval. Similar to the process followed in the prototype development phase, the Porex development team will ask you to evaluate any parts based on the following criteria:
Did the parts meet your functional requirements?
Did the parts meet your dimensional requirements?
|
 |
Will the solution meet your commercial requirements?
If any of these requirements are not completely satisfied, the development team will make necessary modifications to any manufacturing process conditions, material formulations, and/or tool designs. Your project proceeds to pilot production once all of your production development design criteria have been fulfilled.
