Porex Partners with Unity PPE to Create a Clear Solution to a Foggy Problem Amid the Pandemic

Mar. 03, 2021

With millions forced to wear face masks throughout the pandemic, eyeglass wearers have faced a common dilemaa: glasses fogging-up due to excessive moisture and humidity. To address this issue, Unity PPE joined forces with Porex to create the perfect solution, an anti-fogging foam insert called SEALS.

Developed using Porex’s antimicrobial foam, Unity PPE SEALS are a triangular-shaped insert that easily attach to the center of the nose bridge in any mask using double-sided tape. The soft, lightweight material is customizable to fit the shape of any face, simultaneously increasing protection and improving comfortability. In fact, SEALS help redirect hot air to exit the sides of the mask instead of the top, which contributes to reducing fogging and dry eyes. It also helps to stop the mask from sliding, preventing the need to constantly touch the face to re-adjust a mask. SEALS is hypoallergenic and latex-free with the ability to absorb sweat and humidity from perspiration, while having the strength to be washed for long-lasting use.

Located in Tennessee, Unity PPE is a woman-owned brand created by co-founder and CEO Savannah Cleveland. Dedicated to creating masks and other PPE throughout the ongoing pandemic, Unity PPE developed a campaign called “Nominate a Hero” devoted to frontline workers in neighboring communities. Shoppers can nominate a friend, co-worker, mentor, or themself, to receive a free SEALS each time a pair is purchased.
