Gone are the days of foam simply operating as foam. New advancements in material development allow the infusion of customer-exclusive additives including antimicrobials, nanomaterials, pharmaceuticals, botanicals, cosmetic ingredients and colorants – thereby helping to achieve custom product specifications and to enhance product differentiation. In addition to the ability to implement unique formulas and ingredients, the open-cell foam structure allows for premium design flexibility, including a wide array of densities, pore volumes, and textures.
Whether your innovation is for medical applications and requires superior absorption and medical-grade (ISO 10993) certification or for the cosmetics industry and needs exceptional softness, open-cell foams can yield consistent product performance and enhance the end-user experience.
In this webinar, challenge what you know about foam and discover the unique manufacturing process of open-cell foam and how to determine the material and characteristics your product design needs.
