{"id":18487,"date":"2021-07-22T08:33:59","date_gmt":"2021-07-22T12:33:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.porex.com\/?p=18487"},"modified":"2021-08-01T21:58:16","modified_gmt":"2021-08-02T01:58:16","slug":"bringing-uv-c-light-into-the-new-eu-renovation-wave","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.porex.com\/zh-hans\/uncategorized\/bringing-uv-c-light-into-the-new-eu-renovation-wave\/","title":{"rendered":"Bringing UV-C Light into the New EU Renovation Wave"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>DORA TO TRANSLATE AS A TEST.<\/strong><br><br>Oct. 9, 2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By Gerry DiBattista, VP of Marketing &#8211; PTFE<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The use of UV-C light to deactivate pathogens has garnered a great deal of attention since the onset of the COVID-19 Pandemic.&nbsp; Although in use for over 100 years, the use of UV-C energy for disinfection of surfaces, water and air has now gone mainstream.&nbsp; In fact, in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lightingeurope.org\/images\/publications\/pr\/LightingEurope_press_release_-_UV-C_disinfection_technologies_must_be_integrated_in_EU_renovation_plans_-_20200916.pdf\">press release<\/a> dated  September 16, LightingEurope &#8211; the voice of the lighting industry in Europe &#8211; is now recommending to the European Commission that the use of UV-C light be included in the new EU Renovation Wave that is part of the European Green Deal driving climate neutrality.  &nbsp;LightingEurope has even published a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lightingeurope.org\/images\/publications\/position-papers\/LightingEurope-Position_Paper_on_the_benefits_of_using_UV-C_disinfection_to_combat_COVID-19_-_20200914.pdf\">position paper on the benefits of using UV-C disinfection to combat the COVID-19 virus<\/a>.
