Keep the Dropper Tip Clean and the Dose Consistent

Preservative-free formulations are now standard in glaucoma, dry eye and anti-inflammatory therapy, and they remove the margin for error at the drop per tip. Residual drops crystallize, block the orifice and contaminate the next dose. Porex bonded-fiber cap wicks absorb and retain the excess medication left on the tip after each use, so the tip stays clean, the orifice stays open and the drop volume stays consistent through daily use. Wicks are supplied cut to the cap geometry, with a capillary structure tuned to the viscosity and surface tension of the formulation.

For multidose preservative-free bottles, Porex porous filters and hydrophobic vents maintain the sterile barrier and equalize bottle pressure between doses.

Materials Matched to the Formulation

Bonded fiber provides a flexible, high-capacity capillary matrix for rapid wicking; sintered porous plastic provides a rigid structure for filters and flow-control inserts. Porex engineers select material, pore structure and geometry against your drop volume, viscosity and bottle design, and supply samples for tip-hygiene and dose-uniformity testing.
