From December 17 – 20, Malaysia experienced unprecedented downpours that caused rivers to overflow, submerging many urban areas and cutting off main roads. More than 30,000 people were evacuated from their homes.

Plant operations

Located in Shah Alam in Selangor, our Porex Malaysian manufacturing facility was impacted by the severe flooding that stopped on mid-Sunday night. Some raw material supply and production lines were affected and will need time to be restored. The local operations team has been working diligently to clean the site and evaluate impact on products shipping to customers. Customer Care will contact all customers impacted by any delays with specific details on their orders.

We are happy to say that all employees are safe, though some have been affected by the flood.
