Our high-performance POREX Virtek® IP-rated PTFE vents are designed to provide pressure equalization and a barrier from dust, water, sweat and other contaminants in sealed devices containing a speaker or microphone to prevent audio distortion.
Designed for IP67 mobile electronic applications, our acoustics vents:
- Protect against contaminants–POREX Virtek materials repel dust, water, sweat, oils and other liquids from entering the enclosure.
- Assemble easily–Sintered structure allows material to be handled and welded without cumbersome assembly instructions.
- Maintain performance–POREX Virtek PTFE materials maintain performance through assembly process and resist degradation from handling.
- Typical acoustic loss—approximately 10 dB if used as a primary speaker/microphone cover

Flow Modulators
Equalize airflow pressure within speaker chambers
Our POREX® porous flow modulators provide precise airflow control between speaker chambers and to the exterior of the unit, thereby reducing air pulses caused by speaker movement. Allowing a freestanding speaker system to breathe freely during temperature fluctuations, our flow modulators equalize pressure within the unit.
