POREX Virtek® PTFE ostomy bag vents are hydrophobic and design-optimized with high water entry pressure and airflow. The continuous venting material enables stoma product manufacturers to design for improved patient lifestyles.
Available in various designs and odor control functionalities, our ostomy bag vents:
- Control leakages, gases and water penetration–Hydrophobic and design-optimized ostomy bag vents help control leakage and ballooning, allow gases to escape and prevent water penetration during bathing or swimming activities.
- Improve patient lifestyle – The continuous venting POREX® ostomy material helps stoma product manufacturers design patient-friendly ostomy products.
- Can be designed with odor control technology

Prevent fluid leakage in urine collection systems with POREX Virtek PTFE urine bag vents. These vents allow pressure equalization as the bag fills during use.
POREX Virtek PTFE urine bag vents are designed to be utilized in high-speed automated assembly processes, and are available in various configurations. These vents:
- Exceed published BFE standards
- Prevent leakage while maintaining high air flow
- Equalize pressure for uninterrupted urine flow
- Free of PFOA: Compliant with (EC) 1907/2006 REACH / Regulation (EU) 2019/1021 POP
