Direct-to-PCR Sample Transfer Device
A next-generation sample collection device, the GoCollect® Sampler has been designed and developed by ReadyGo™ Diagnostics to simplify and standardize biological sample collection and processing. The device incorporates a Porex high-release fiber matrix that enables consistent uptake and release across complex sample types including blood, saliva, stool, and sputum. The fiber matrix has been optimized in collaboration with Porex to enhance absorption and release performance within the ReadyGo system.
Following collection, a simple ‘snap’ mechanism in the center activates the device, allowing release of pre-loaded buffer from the pipette bulb through the fiber tip. This enables immediate dilution and controlled dispensing, reducing handling steps and variability at the point of use.
The prototype shown uses a blue-dyed saline solution for visualization. In deployed configurations, the fiber matrix can be integrated with stabilization, lysis or other biochemical chemistries, supporting reliable sample collection, transport and enabling efficient release of proteins, nucleic acids and other biomolecules for downstream workflows, including lateral flow, molecular or biochemical assays.
