Automotive Lights
Without the fragility and variability common in non-sintered materials, POREX Virtek® PTFE, which is specifically designed for exterior automotive lights, uses unique sintered material that outperforms competitive expanded materials. With its robust porous structure, our vents equalize pressure while minimizing humidity flow into the enclosure, protecting enclosure seals from premature failure.

Oxyphen Automotive Large Lamps
More efficient ventilation and protection are increasingly demanded for automotive lighting applications. Clear glass systems used in headlights need not only adequate airflow to cool the system but must also prevent condensation of moisture and protect against the ingress of liquid, dirt, and other contaminants that can lead to malfunctioning and reduced illumination.
Oxyphen’s expertise in the automotive market led to the development of specific hydrophobic, high-gas flow track-etched membrane solutions with unmatched vapor transmission rates that provide fast de-condensation and protection of headlights, rear lights, and other large automotive lamps.

Oxyphen Automotive Small Lamps
For side indicators, fog lamps, or other lightning devices where the mounting spot is on the vehicle’s exterior and directly exposed to the harshest weather condition, fogging and cracks can occur. To function properly, these lighting systems must have proper airflow for cooling, prevent the ingress of contaminants such as liquid and dirt particles, as well as prevent condensation of moisture which can all lead to malfunctioning of the part.
Oxyphen’s hydrophobic track-etched membrane solutions with unmatched vapor transmission rates offer an ideal solution for small lamps used in automotive applications through their ability to remove moisture, protect against contamination, and cool the module through a pre-determined airflow.
