Phototherapy has long been a proven way to treat many skin and other disorders.  With the advent of very tunable light sources and continued research, the use of phototherapy for many additional medical conditions has become mainstream. However, to effectively administer light therapy, it is critical that the light energy is uniform in order to prevent areas of over- or under-exposure.  This is where Porex Virtek reflectivity media excels.  With high reflectivity rates and almost perfect Lambertian reflectivity, minimal energy is wasted and light is uniform and consistent.

UV curing is a growing way to apply durable and robust coatings in industrial and consumer applications.  A critical aspect of proper UV curing is the uniform level of UV energy that is distributed over the curing surface.   With Porex Virtek PTFE, the high reflectivity (up to 97%) and highly diffuse nature of this reflectivity insures minimal UV energy loss and an extremely uniform output, thereby minimizing hot and cold spots and reducing any possible shadowing in 3D shapes.
