Porex has collaborated with CERUS, a medical device manufacturer, to develop the INTERCEPT™ Blood System. This innovative system aims to minimize the risk of transfusion-transmitted infections by effectively neutralizing a wide range of pathogens that may be present in donated blood. Porex designed the porous media that integrates the essential functional binder, which is vital for the pathogen inactivation process.
